THE motorcyclist who died in a motorway crash at the weekend has been identified as a teenager from Cambridge.
Ben Harrison, 17, of Oak Tree Avenue, died when his motorcycle collided with the central barrier on the A1(M) near Sawtry on Saturday.
The crash happened on the southbound carriageway, approximately a mile south of Junction 15 for Sawtry, at 11.45pm.
Police said the incident was a single-vehicle collision.
Mr Harrison was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Sawtry junction is midway between Huntingdon and Peterborough, around five miles north of the junction with the A14.
PC John Blood, of Cambridgeshire police, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who was driving along the A1(M) just before 11.45pm and saw this motorbike."
